About Me

I am a photographer. All my life, I have had some sort of camera in my hands. My grandfather let me play with a Brownie when I was a kid, and today, I use the very best gear to get the image that I am after.

My day job is in the motion picture business rigging, and lighting for the 'Dream Factories' in Hollywood, CA..

To me, no matter how hard this work is, I have an edge over the every day photographer. I know how to light. There is light everywhere in our world, the Sun, the Moon, the streets, buildings, rooms, and what is in my gear.

The point being, we live in an imperfect world where light matters in photography. The quality of light depends on the photographers eye, the light available, and the artificial light supplemented. This is the challege to a good photographer.

I also am the league photographer for Hart Pony Baseball and Softball.

My image, "Lost Not Found" was an honorable mention winner for the 2006 Popular Photography Magazine contest.
The Photographs:

Besides sports, and the occasional head shot, I take photos of things that are not of the usual point of view.

Because of my background, I look at things in a differant way than the normal photographer. Light, angle, blocking, color, and props help me tell a story.
The Imagery:

Another way for me to tell stories is by using the tools that I have to their fullest.

Photoshop, and the plug ins that I have attached is my main tool of choice.

When I take a base photo and manipulate the frame to become something else, a story emerges.
